I recently put two 12 inch subs in my 98 accoard 4 door ex. Now, the license plate rattles really bad when the subs hit. The license plate only attaches at the top. There aren't any holes of fasteners to attach the bottom of the plate to the car. The bottom of the plate sticks out about 1.5 to 2 inches from the car. What can i do to fix the annoying rattle. Can i drill the botton of the plate into the trunk to attach it?
dynamat makes a kit for the liscenseplate to stop rattling......try best buy or circuit city or your local audio store..they'll have somthing to stop it
when mine was rattling, it was just the bottom part like you are talking about, so i just bent it away from the car a lil bit.. didnt exactly fix it perfectly, but it cut it down a lot
I used some of the extra carpet that I had from making my box...........cut out a piece as big as the plate, used the spray adhesive (again from the box building) and put the piece of carpet on the back of the plate. Then put/screw the plate on as usual - rattling stopped.
