Ok I have a fosgate p4004 amp 4 speakers and 1 sub i want powered. Heres the deal...

I was wanting to what kind of sub I should be getting to be powered from 2 of these briged channels. The front two channels are gonna be running my components up front and the rear 2 speakers are pushed from the pioneer head unit. I have 2 open channels from my amp. However the amp rates them at 4 ohms when brgied (200 watts) bt I thought when you brige the 2 channels together (using + from one and the - from the other) that it becomes 2 ohms...

Anyhow, if somoene wouldnt' mind looking at the amp specs and letting me know if I shoudl be looking for a 2 ohm sub or a 4 ohm sub. Thanks!!

 

when you bridge the amp you don't change the ohm reading but changes it to a mono block instead of two ch. i was looking at the amp spec it can do 2ohm but that's only in as a 4 ch it only gives a rating for 4ohms bridged but i like 4ohms over 2ohms when doing my subs

 

ok so I should be cool to get 200w if I brige the 2 channels? and leave the other 2 channels for the front 6.5"

 

yes it will be a mono, i have a similar setup and it works great. you'll be fine
