Ways to restraign 1 12
For those of you that have one sub how do you keep it from rolling around back in the trunk? When i get mine i don't want it to roll around but i also don't want to bolt it down. I want it to be pretty easy to take it out. Thanks
Well if the box is pretty heavy I guarantee you that it won't move much. But if the box is light, maybe a QLogic one for a 1 12 then you can drill two screws (don't drill them in all the way) in front of the box so it stops it from moving forward, it wont move much side to side, and just push it back to the back seat.
theres a lot of way...if you dont mind it being ghetto, you can get real creative. ive used bungee cords before, and had no problems.
the way a box is designed also can determine if itll move a lot. something with a bigger base than a top will be less likely to move than something that is equal, both top and bottom.
also, a carpeted box will move less than a non-carpeted one, due to friction.
you can always bolt it to the car, but i dont like, too much of a hassle.
if you are building the box, give it a good base to stand on.

i put a piece of ply wood underneat the factory corrugated cardboard cuz that wouldn't hold shiiit.... i then put two locking hasps on the back of the box and then into the ply wood... locks it on.. doesn't moove a bit but does some rattle.. i don' trelaly mind the rattle though. i can still remove it for when i move a lotta stuff so my trunk is still useful
