Default 6x9 boxes

I got some infinity Kappa 6x9's and powering them up with a 60x4 watt amp. Everything sounds nice, but I was wondering if boxes would help bring out some bass. My friend's Polks are being powered by just 30-40 watts and they thump like subs enclosed in boxes. Would boxes make a difference? Thanks

Infinity's are better speakers by far. The difference is they are made to sound good all around, meaning cleaner and more defined. Maybe your tuning on you amp is a little off, I am not sure. But usually with kappa's I would be a sub or something to add a little more punch.
