Default 2003 accord - head unit vs aux unit install

Hi all,

anyone know how to install head unit (metal box) vs auxillary unit (portable discman etc). the head unit needs power etc from the car, right? but can I use the RCA outputs from the head unit to the inputs on an adapter ?(SNHON...etc)

how do you power the head unit safely and still use the adapter??? I am guessing a Y cable like I have seen with just the necessary plugs/wires connected?

how do you get head unit with four channel RCA OUTS to properly play through an adpater (SNHOND...) with two RCA INS?
is a 4 channel RCA IN adapter needed??

Is a docking station the answer? what is the difference among docking station, adapter, CD interface etc?

I also want to maintain steering wheel control (adapter or whatever way)

thx a lot
