the best theft prevention is not to jam where you live. use lots of brackets, lots of screws and get a good alarm. if somebody really wants what youve got they'll get it, regardless.

lock your trunk release thing up front if there is one in your car (not sure) there is one in my car so they cant just like break the window and pull the trunk open switch cuz its locked, but they can probably break that...?

oh yeah, and don't use regular screws, go to a hardware store and find some with a torx or hex head. it's worth the extra trouble.

On top of all that was suggested, get a good pager alarm. And make sure your auto insurance is covering everything just in case you do get jacked.

just get some L brackets from the hardware store and use them to secure the box to the trunk. try to cover them up as best you can, showing brackets looks tacky. and as for the other thing maybe you could buy one from a similar year car from the junkyard and put it in yours, i'm not sure on this, maybe someone else knows.
