yea i have this problem and didnt understand the other threads
i installed this new pioneer deh-p4600mp head unit and the harness to the head didnt have dimmer or illumination lights but the snap on harness i got (to snap the the old harness) had a orange one for dimmer postivive and a blue one for power atenna ... the only wire left on the new head unit side is a system remote control

 

Just slap tape on the end and leave it.

 

that wasnt helpful, i cant drive at night because i cant see my gauges
