use a 350w - 1350w amp kit on a 300w amp?

Usually completely safe, unless the power ratings are measured differently. Go to www.bcae1.com/wire and check out what size wire you need for your application, and go from there. When you are wiring your system, really the only wire that changes with amplifier power is the power/ground wires. Make sure they are sufficient size and fuse properly and you will be set.
