Viper alarms

My comments - Viper Alarms suck, My friend's civic got stolen and he had one, people said it didn't even go off. I'd go with another brand like clifford or something Viper = :bs: Clifford = :bigok:

Clifford matrix is the same as Viper. Clifford's concept and intelligard series are still a league of their own even though they are owned and made by the same people (DEI) No matter what the install makes a much larger difference than the alarm that you use. I prefer Clifford, but honestly have no complaints about Viper (besides the fact that the sensors aren't remotely adjustable.) To answer the origional question, the 791 is the newer model of the 790, there really isn't much of a difference for the consumer besides the carbon look remote on the 791 where it is a tanish grey on the 790.

ill go viper b4 i go clifford and they just became dei. imo ive had good experiences with viper.
was his alarm armed ??
differnet remote design other than that they both seem the same. i put the 791 in my 6th gen and my friend got the 790 in his 5th gen we both tested range and it was the about the same i got a lil more but i think that was due to how i mounted the receiver antenna.
the 791 remote is blue and the matrix remote is carbon
