they are well known in the SPL competition scene as being great subs - if they are good for you - that's a whole other story all together...

i have some 3512's for sale. they slam. they will work with an amp that does 2000 watts at 2 ohms. or if you get 2 1000 watt amps that can strap together. thats how i had them hooked up.

i have a 9512e, which is considered to be the "god" of all SPL subs, or at least it used to be... there are some heavy hitters out there now.

I ended up smoking it two days ago though, I had some coil issues and I think I just put too much to it.

I have an Orion 2500d on it and yes its immensely loud even in my trunk. I cant wait to get it reconed and try it in the new CRX I will be getting.

the 3 12's will be louder because of the increased cone area. the 2 15's will drop lower. Personally if you have the room I'd go with the 3 12's. BTW I've seen/heard lots of DD subs at the DB drag world finals and they are simply amazing. You aren't going to win any SQ competitions with them, but they will SLAM.

the 35 series sound good as well. if you port a box properly it can sound very very well.
My 9512e would get LOWER THAN almost any 15 or combo of 15's in the area, while still sounding very good in the upper frequencies of the low end.

you'll be hard pressed on which set up will hit harder. Do you want harder hitting or bigger #'s on a mic? port a box high and you'll get hit in the chest, port a box low and your balls will vibrate all over the place. Its up to you.

Hmmm....I'd probably stay away from those, because you don't really know who re-coned them. If you want to figure out how to wire your subs and learn a little more about car audio there are some great online tutorials that can help you. check out www.jlaudio.com < they have some great wiring guides. If your getting into car audio a great message board to check out is www.autoaudio.com < there is a wealth of knowledge to be had there, and many of those guys run DD subs. I'd keep an eye out for some different subs.

if those subs were reconed to the e series, then they were reconed right @ DD.

you want to get a dual 4 ohm sub then if you want to run your amp @ 2 ohms...

hit me up @ bmpnblzrJL on AIM if you want to talk shop.
