installing components, any tips?
i just got my components and planning to install them this weekend. anyone have any tips before i install them?

don't poke a hole through the woofer :)
|
If putting in front doors, use baffles for the woofer, flush mount the tweeter, surface mount looks:ghey: The baffles will help protect the woofer from the elements, dirt, water, air, even help block out some road noise too. What kind of components did you get anyways?

be very patient.

what do you use to drill the hole for the tweeter? where did you put the crossover?
|
crystal mobile audio components. i'm a noob...what's a baffle? oh yeah i have a 96 accord. i was wondering where to put the xover and tweeters too. i don't know i guess i'll find out everything when i take things apart this weekend.

you need to make sure it fits , if not - you can ask for audio advice from your local audio store.
you might need spacers for depth and maybe to cut the plastic protectors at the rear. |

on the accord are those tweeters on the dash? i see 2 small grills on each side.

you can keep them on the dash, or drill a hole in your door panel.
you will probably have to cut the back of the baffle out because of the depth of the speaker. you will know once you start installing. |
