alternator question
I'm curious what the amperage of an alternator for a 92 integra gs is? also i'm wondering if a 94 up one has higher amperage and if i could put it on a 92 teg motor.
I think the 92 Integra 1.8L GS stock rated alternator put out a measly 65 amps. I think the 94 and up was rated at 80 amps. You might want to ask this in the Teg forum to verify ratings and compatibility. Good luck.
http://www.4alterstart.com has a lookup function to determine the factory alternator's output rating....they also sell high-output alternators, but I have no clue as to their performance or quality...

I have an alternator, I bought from them, and then I read the fine print. Now I have a dead 150amp alternator that I paid $229 for. Now, do I want to pay $30 bucks for round trip postage and still they have to determine if I caused it or not. Then, since I couldn't wait, I had my new "stock" one put back in($100 labor each time). So now I will have to pay more to see if it is a defect or not? I think I am just going to have to eat it.
I screwed myself
Try buying electrical auto stuff locally ONLY! That is the moral of the story I guess.

Ouch, man. You know that's about 25 minutes worth of labor, right? And you only need a pair of box wrenches to do it...

I would like to know a way that I can do it myself.
Thanks
