With that setup I think I'll be pushing too much high and low and not enough midbass.
I just want it to not sound like butt and cover all frequencies.
So, how about that amp?

Well, depends on what you are running for sub(s)...if you want it to image, you don't want two sources playing the same frequency - that simple. If you give the focals plenty of power, and install them right....you will have balanced sound.
What else are you running? That PG is a fine amp.

My setup will consist of the following:
2x Mmats Procast 10" subwoofer
1x PG Octane 4chan amp
2x Focal Polyglass component speakers 6.5"
2x Adire Koda 6 Midbass 6.5"
1x Mmats or PG amp 2chan for subs
The midbass being in the back would be a considerable distance from the front seat.

i'm running all jl amps now....best amps i've had.....better than:
Power Acoustik
Rockford
Clarion
Pioneer
MTX
and a few other really cheap ones when better ones blew.
right now, JL 4/300 pushing 2 jl 6x9s and memphis compnents in the front and a 1/500 pushing 2 12W3v2s....
with the amp gain all the way down on the highs it still screams above any higher rated amps ive used.
the most important things in an amp is how efficient it is and that its made to withstand! I've had a 1000 watt class d Clarion out perform a 1600 watt Power Acoustic, and my 1/500 watt JL out perform both! Mostly b/c the JL pushes the same wattage with impedance 1.5-4 ohms.....

Wow, I'm really hearing good things about JL.
They're WAAAAY outa my price range though. For the price of a JL putting out 75wattsx4 @ 4 ohm I can get a PG amp putting out 125watts x 4 @ 4 ohm. I think that's more worth it.

If the pg amp would save you money i would say go for it and use the extra money on a good install. That will have more of an impact on the sound then the amp. Ive had pg before and never had a problem with it. It was a good solid amp.
