Where the hell you gettin 1500W from?? Yea, they make nice amps (overpriced, but still nice) and that one is not a bad one at all. It would be a great component amp, or it could power a sub that doesn't need lots of power. What are you trying to push with it?

1500W is peak power.
i want to power like a 10 in maybe 12 in sub and the rest of the speakers in the car. (4 speakers.....components in the front)
...about being overpriced...i'm getting employee discount at Best Buy so it A LOT cheaper.
will this be good for that?
thanks

I don't think you can power a sub, and your front two speakers at the same time. You need to get a sub amp, and a component amp. I used to work at best buy myself, and they have hella employee discount. *word of warning, the subs there suck* Anyways, watch for the employee accomodation programs that RF runs, they offer prices that are WAY below even the employee discount.

The only way that amp will ever make 1500W is if it gets hit by lightning!!!

NEVER look at peak power specs - they are a waste of time and are a marketing figure.

You can do one of two things with this amplifier for it to run a whole system.

1. you can run just the front components from two channels, and the sub from the rear channels (bridge them). If your components are 4 ohms, then they will get 65W each. If they are two ohm, they will get 125W each. The sub must present a 4 ohm load, and you will get 250W to it.

2. You can wire your front and rear right speakers in parallel. Do the same for the lefts. They both must be 4 ohm speakers. Then wire them to the front channels of the amp. Each speaker will get 65W. Then use the sub, bridged, to the rear channels. This will cause you to lose any fading capability between front and rear speakers.

I would highly suggest you run setup number 1. Run the rear speakers from your headunit. The first arrangement will cause the amp to run cooler (it's already going to double as a bbq) and will be easier on your charging system.

That amp is really only a 500W amp, but should be enough power to create a nice system.

I like the IDv3 lineup from image dynamics - they are around 130 each authorized from sounddomain.com

Honest to god, I'm not a rep for these people(see other threads in Audio and Electronics), but you simply cannot beat their prices, products, service, or quality. www.edesignaudio.com. The K series would be right up your alley. They sound fantastic, don't take up too much room, and have some really nice boom to them.
