1990 horn access?
I need to get to the horn with a test light but it's buried behind the right front headlight/blinker/bumper. Is there an "easy" way to get to it? It looks like if the blinker assembly was removed I could get to it but I can't figure out how that is attached either.
It has been a while since I have had to change the horn on my 90 accord, btu if I rember right I had to take the front bumber off to get to it. I tried remobing the bumper light and if I am rembering correctly I couldnt get to it enoght that way.

Wow is that really true? I can't believe someone would design a car that the bumper had to come off to get to something as simple as the horn. Thanks for the feedback, I'll look more into it.

Well I took out the two screws in the fender by the tire and the ones under the bumper and it allows the plastic to be pulled out far enough to get a long extension to the horn bracket.
Ok so the horn itself is good, the fuse is good, and I have power to both connections at the horn. So does this car have a relay for the horn and how do I get the horn pad off the steering wheel?

Relay I am not 100% sure on.
The pad is easy......
Remove the "H" from the center of the steering wheel. Remove the 17mm nut and remove the wheel unpluging the harness.
Then flip the wheel over and you will see the screws that hold the pad on *NOTE* there are 4 little spings under the pad that you DONT want to loose.
Flip the wheel back over and lift the pad off carefuly to not loose the springs.
You will see where the horn contact is and such.

Thanks for the help, it was the contact ring on the back of the steering wheel. I cleaned it up and bent the tab out some and it works fine now. Appreciate all the tips and still can't believe the way the horn is mounted on this car, the wire was long enough so I have remounted it behind the lower grille area and is easy to reach now if I ever have to change it.

Cool. :thumbup: I am adding a 2nd horn to the otehr side , one just isn't loud enough.
Might even add an air horn. LOL
