Default Bomz exhaust?? A waste?

Alright, I got a 00 Accord coupe, V6, and I have been looking to get some performance exhausts, mainly for some horsepower. Now I would like to get nice ones but I dont want to spend alot. I am looking to get two exhausts for about $150-180 tops. I have been looking at some Bomz exhausts. What is the rep on them? Cheap or servicable? Also I found there are like several models, like the N1, Gt and r-spec I think, What is the difference between them? Thanks for the input.

u don't need 2 exhausts...u just have a y-pipe...so u'd be looking for 2 mufflers and some piping...not 2 whole systems...anyway...i haven't really seen any exhausts do very well for performance unless ur boosted...go w/ a cai instead...same price range

sounds like your talking about mufflers and not the full exhaust.

if you just want mufflers then you still need custom pipe. if this is what you want i would get two magnaflow street series mufflers and get some custom pipe from the axle-back.

since you have an AV6, and you spent 20K+ on it ... why not spend some loot on a proven and tested exhaust. look at real brands like Comptech, Greddy, HKS, and Apexi ... not at badged eBay systems.

i have the Comptech exhaust

if you spend $150, you get what you pay for.

where did you get your lips and ground effects. I found some at Honda accessories.com but they were running bout a 1000 before installation. Just wondering if you got yours from the dealer or elsewhere. Thanks.

:werd: comptech is the best for the V6, but it is a tad pricey for what you get.

deffinately, if it's a new car (or basically new), there's no reason to go cheap on it. You're going to have it a while, so get the stuff that lasts.

I'm also a very big advocate of full catbacks.....and preferably not that loud of ones too. Mufflers alone is really obnoxious and I don't understand why people waste their time making their car louders and sound really bad...and gain no performance. *shrug*

Bomz however if you're going to go with anything, is about the cheapest brand out there on eBay....most of the other generics are far better. I recommend OBX if you're going to go with a generic brand, I believe they are in some way a devision of Tenzo--R.

Alright, Thanks for all the input. You guys clearly made it obvious that Bomz isnt the way to go. I just figured that theorically there shouldnt be much difference between brands. Mufflers are just tubing and resonance. I'll definitly look around somemore. And when I find something, I'll see what you guys think. thanks again
