Track results from the 7th accord V6.
Well, I know a lot of you guys have wondered what they run and today I went to woodburn dragstrip to drag my moms 03 Accord Sedan V6 automatic.
I really had no idea how to launch the car. I took of the TCS and dident power-brake which I usualy do with my 5th gen. When I did power brake it was like the car was dead and not moving so I just floored it from 1k. Here's the results.
1st run:
60': 2.512
1/4: 15.515
MPH:90.71
2nd run:
60':2.499
1/4:15.610
MPH:89.45
3rd run:
60':2.455
1/4:15.537
MPH:90.33
4th run:
60': 2.454
1/4:15.571
MPH:89.81
7th run:
60':2.483
1/4: 15.665
MPH:89.76
Also hit 15.521 and 16's towards the end of the day messing around with burn-outs and different teqniques.
This car is a totaly different car from my 5th gen. Like I went through the gears with the AV6 and it slowed it down and I cant power-brake which I can do both with my 5th gen. Had a fun day though. Got put up to a 11 second hatch. haha. I saw car-lengths on that one!

those 60' times are killing you. Better set of tires needed. Also conditions vary from track to track and this may be a slow trak with low grip. Did your wheels spin on those times? I know if you floor the 7th gen from a stop you will get wheel spin. Most just leave the car in d3 and do not shift. The stock tires are crappy.

Yes I did get a little wheel spin but it wasent too bad, only a little more then what I get with my 5th gen accord automatic. Im telling you guys this car was a biatch to launch. I only went through the gears twice and that was after elminations.

I think it weighs like 50 pounds less or something. I just floored it, got a 2.32 60' time at best.

My TSX is slow....cuz its a heavy underpowered land whale compared with the more powerful AV6.
Those times are quite good.
I like doing burnouts with my street tires while at the track and that isn't good nor is tire spinning at launch cuz that makes my times not that good, but oh wellz.h:

wow i would expect better times for an AV6
the torque on those things feel like it's everywhere
and with 240 hp it would seem like it can do so much better
maybe a set of better tires is wut the doc ordered
just my opinion
