Default Blue paint (dinged) on my door!

Some fruitloop opened their cardoor into mine...leaving behind a nice blue dab of paint by my door handle. :madfawk:

I tried scratching it off, but it was too late when I noticed it.
Any suggestions on how to remove it?

you can try and claybar it. I don't know if that will help but its worth a try.

Try a claybar. If it doesn't work, try some sort of mild abrasive. If any of those don't work, good luck with the repaint.

Autozone. Clay Magic blue bar. Just picked some up for my '97 accord SE I just bought $10. Get a mild polish too. Then wax over it.

You can do your whole car with the clay bar, it will be it really smooth. If you want a longer lasting consumer-tageted wax, Mothers Hot-wheels or Mothers Reflections will last fairly long for winter. Good luck!

Meguires paint cleaner and scratch remover... buy it, use it, love it.

It is killer stuff. Clay bar is OK, but it won't likely remove paint. Almost definitely won't remove scratches, and if used improperly can do more harm than good.

rubbing compound or claybar. Be careful with both. I used rubbing compound to remove some road paint(yellow) on my sister's lexus. If you are careful enough, you can use like 1500-2500 grit sand paper on it if the rubbing compound or claybar wont take it off. If it needs to be sanded, sand it a lil then use the rubbing compound or claybar and it should come off. Follow that with a polish and wax.

road paint is very different than a door ding.

Trust me. Get some Meguires. NOT rubbing compound. None of that stuff is clear coat safe.
