Default Warped Brake Rotors (2003 Sedan)

Chalk up another 2003 Accord Sedan, I4, Auto with warped rotors. 10,000 mile checkup today and they resurfaced front rotors under warranty. Mechanic said this is the 4th one he's done and Honda is looking for a fix.

Don't be so sarcastic. My rotors warped in 15,000 miles and I thought that was way to soon. 10,000 is ridiculous.

This is actually a huge issue, and many new accord owners have had to have their rotors resurfaced as early as 3000 miles. I am one of them.

If you want to find out more about this, check out the forums on edmunds.com, townhall-honda-accord.

There are a few theories floating around about what's causing it. The one I'm more likely to believe is that at assembly, the lug nuts were over-torqued. But they range from that to poor brake rotor design, which I seriously doubt because they were supposedly upgraded in the 7th gen.

i dought its the lugs being over-torqued. When I got the accord, i torqued them myself and the factory torque setting is very close to 80lbs
