Default 92 accord lx tire width

I just bought a 92 accord LX

I am going to get a set of the 15 x 5.5 factory alloy wheels.

Does anyone know what the widest tire I can put on there without rubbing the control arms?

195 is stock, can I go to 205??

Any info appreciated.

Thanks

yes you can go to 205...Know as +0 fitment. A little better handling, as you'll have more grip, but the sidewall flex is still going to suck. Good luck

depends on the tire you choose, but yeah it will still flex more than a 45 series tire and the rubber compound on the high performance 205 55 15s can be much much grippier than a stock 195 60 15 type tire.

look for a tire with a V or Z rated speed rating and lower treadwear rating generally means more grip. also lool for something that is not considered an all-season tire.
