any 94-97 dr accord owners...........i am looking at cars and one is the accord coupe. i want an ex but do the dx/lx coupe have decent pickup and speed, or are they weak? what have u maxed out at stock and is it worth it to buy one to make faster(ex's are hard to find around here, especially in coupe) my goal is to be able to keep up with older celica gt's and integras w/little or no modifications to them.....im in high school and dont want to race that much, just be able to keep up with every1 when flyin down them back roads n shit, you kno how that goes

accords are slow. prolly gonna take a lil bit of modding to make you happy.

accords are decent, its not like a neon or n e thing i got a 94 accord lx picks up ok. all i got is AEM short ram. but if you want some more speed, i was lookin for a 95 v6 dont like 96-97 lights taillights.

 

yeah, I/H/E would be a start. Make sure you get an EX though, gotta have the vtec powa!

the stock 5 speed EXs aren't too bad from the factory, eh, 16.5ish in the quarter with a semi-descent driver. I imagine with a few polishing mods like i/h/e, and a small shot of nitrous you'd be doing quite well with those cars. Just don't get your hopes up if you descide to go with only i/h/e....while it'll gain you power, not really anything that exciting.
