Default Question about 6th Gen. V6....

damn, its been awhile since ive been in this forum ever since i sold my accord...anyway... i did a search and couldnt find jacksh*t which was odd...

my gf has a 00 Accord V6 coupe...her maintanance light is on and i dont know how to turn the damn thing off... when i had my 95 accord, all i had to do was stick the key in and wait till it changed back.... on my integra right now, all i do is press a button right after i turn on the engine.... but this car... THIS FRIGGIN CAR...

someone told me to turn the key to ACC and press the trip reset button....that didnt do sh*t except reset her trip odometer....

can someone tell us how to turn this dang thing off? i already checked everything on her car to make sure its tuned, but i just cant turn off the light. thanks in advance.

it's more complicated on the newer car. check the manual because it involves starting the car and then depressing/holding the odometer reset button even after you turn the car off.

there are 2 trip looking buttons on the dash. press and hold the one on the left of the odometer and start the car. keep the button held down until the light goes off.

uh. hahaha, nobody reads their manual.

Basically you just hold down the odo reset button while you have your key in the 'start' position. You dont actually have to start the car.
