Wheel offset question (6th gen)
Hey all-
I used to have a login on here a while ago but dunno what happened so I had to re-register but anyway... I have a quick question...
I have a black '98 Accord V6 coupe with Eibach Pro Kit (1.5" drop all-around) and Koni Sports/Yellows and I want to (finally) get rid of the stock 16" alloys and get some new wheels...
Even though everyone keeps saying they are played out or whatnot, I'd still like to get some Konig Tantrums... I drive the car a lot to/from work and don't use it for show, so I decided 17's will do; no 18's for me...
The problem is.. the Tantrum 17x7's come in +40 offset and I'm afraid that's too "low"...
Anyone used 17x7 wheels with +40mm offset on a 6th gen Accord with about 1.5" drop?
I know I really should find some wheels in +43 or +45 or whatnot but I'd really like the Tantrums if they are usable (don't rub)...
Thanks much in advance for any feedback on this..

I can just tell you that I once had some 17x7 with 40 offset bolted up to my car just to see where they sat, and they stuck out just a bit, I would have rubbed.
To be safe, get some 43-45 like you were saying.
The 18" tantrams come in 45, they'd be fine.
