Default 94 Accord LX ?'s

I found a used LX sedan for $1,200, it has 131k miles on it and it is in good condition in and out, the only problem is a broken camshaft. How much would it cost to repair or should I get a new head altogether? What other problems could a broken cam have caused? I'm guessing it has the f22 in it. I guess the biggest question would be is it worth the effort??? Thanx in advance

Broken cam wow. Id either have a mechanic check the head for bent valves and such but for an accord for only $1200 Id go looking into a new motor instead. For less than 5 grand you can make yourself a 15 sec h22 accord. But if not an F22 head shouldnt cost more than a grand.

an F22 with that low of mileage should not have a broken camshaft (or broken anything) unless it was beaten to hell and back... in which case, I'd consider a different car, or look into a new engine.

Dude man if thats the only problem is the motor 1200 isnt bad at all. You can get a stock f22b2 for like 700. Since you might need a new motor might as well get something ebtter than an f series. Id go for the h22a series but even the h23a1 would be nice to have.
