Default Exhaust System.....

Sup guys. Little curious...
I got my exhaust done couple months ago.
When I got mine done, engine check light came on.
I asked them if it was ok and their response was ok.
But When I got my oil change, the man work there said " Better change that before it blow off " People who got exhaust system done, do you guys have engine light on??
Am I in danger?
Should I just take system out and use muffler instead?

Please write back.

did you try resetting the ECU? sometimes a change such as new exhaust, etc.. will cause the diags to throw a trouble code. pull the ECU fuse for about 5 minutes and put it back in. crank the car and let it idle for about 10 minutes with everything else turned off.

I've had my exhaust for like 3-4 months now, only time I threw a code was after getting my clutch installed when they didn't put my o2 sensor all the way back in and it fell out.

Other than that, no problem. Just curious, what the hell is the oil change dude talking about when he said "better change that before it blows off."? What a tool, that's why he's doing oil changes and not engine swaps:screwy:
