Yes, 3 years ago. Wasn't too bad. Could have done it in a weekend, but had to wait for my friend with a welder to have time to help. There were some tricky things afterwards... reverse lights, cruise control uhhhmmm god I forget it all now.

 

When people tell you that its more than the worth of your car they are just talking out their ass. I hate when people tell you to sell your car and get one with a manual. Guess they dont know the trouble of selling a car then looking for the one you want. Its only going to cost you between 1200 and 1800 dollars depending on where you go. Most people spend near 1200 on Just Intake Header and Exhaust which adds maybe 10hp, so if were talking a waste of money hello................. A 5spd will make you half a sec faster than your auto. anywhoe goodluck man.

 

Do it yourself or take it to a shop, screw the hippies that say to sell it cause it's not worth the trouble.

Haha. Well my "ass" says that when your car is worth around $3K (like his is if it's in good condition) then it would be more economical to sell it and buy a manual accord. He could sell his car, and buy a comperable manual for the same price with enough left over to cover the taxes. That way he'd have a manual without paying 1200-1800 as you mentioned.

He could even sell his car, use the 1200 to 1800 you mentioned and buy a 5th gen manual Accord that's newer. Now how exactly is that a bad idea?

The exception: If he already has a lot into his car, which I addressed in my first post.
