Anyone have pics of their radar detector installations? I have a 6th gen Accord and am curious as to how clean an install can look with current detectors. V-1 pics would be a plus. I am thinking about doing a permanent install and would like to see what people have done. Thanks in advance.

Well I have my V1 hooked up to my upper windshield with the coiled cord going down to the 12V outlet. I have my concealed display double face taped to the bottom-right side of the center stack. Works for me. Just remember that you want your V1 as high on the windshield as possible, but below the tint strip. On an Audi S4 board I saw how someone had hard wired the V1 to the fuse box and had cut a hole in the middle of the black plastic trim that goes around the gauge cluster and set their concealed display in there at an angle...in fact, the guy who did it was mass producing them for sale to S4 owners. It was really neat. So there's an idea...just unscrew that trim piece and see what you can do with a Rotozip :thumbup:

I have my Passport 8500 mounted right next to the rear view mirror. i have the "smart" hard wire kit that has the mute button on the cord. i rigged it so the mute button is right underneith the Head unit.
