magnaflow is very good for the money, but normally on the loud side although you can add a tubular muffler underneath to help muffle the sound and give it a smoother tone....they are usually not as pretty, but work very well.....i've used them and like them, but some sound funky

a lot of people are gonna tell you to get the name brand full exhaust system like Greddy, coz they sound better, look better and will gain "A FEW PONIES" compared to just a muffler only.

the only thing i hate about the full exhaust system is they cost a lot of money. im talking from $400 and up to get a good exhaust system to get "A FEW PONIES".

So, if you want to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars to get "A FEW PONIES"( maybe 3-8 hp) and claim you have a name brand exhaust system, go ahead.

but if you want to save money and get a pretty decent muffler only(too many to choose from), and you might get 1,2,3,4 or maybe 5 hp. a lot of them will not sound so nice but if you im pretty sure you can find one that has a deep sound and one that suits you.

if you ran a 3" system, then you'd lose some bottom end torque.....2.5" is plenty big enough for it until you've done tons to it....2.25" would actually be good enough.....it would free it up enough for a top end improvement, without sacrificing the bottom end

scetch: thats an awsome looking muffler u got LOL Throw that picture out or make it smaller. Doesn't show mutch.

I was also thinking about going to meineki (i spelled it wrong?) and seeing how much a custom exhaust with magnaflow would cost. How much should it be? Also do they have the small muffy in the middle from magnaflow.. i see brands like greddy and invidia using some sort of muffler or whatever in the middle of the exhaust. I'm sure just a 2.5" pipe from the cat and a muffler at the end would be horrible sounding.
Maybe i'll remove my back muffler just to see what the cord can sound like with just one small muffler. (the stock one in the middle)

I got a digital video camera, and a lot of people wanted magnaflow sound clips. When taken from behind it does sound a bit farty, which i hope is just the microphone. When i first got the exhaust on i had a friend drive by and i thought it sounded great. Maybe the pitch is just different when neutral revving

I'll get some better clips, this was just me messing around with the camera settings, seeing what i could get. They are pretty short, just so i could get them onto imagestation, but one i have on my school's webspace that's a tad bit better. 3mb, 5mb, then 8mb

these are a few short imagestation clips
