Default Cant Get Out Of Park

I recently am not able to get out of park. I have to manually switch it into neutral with the shift-lock and then start it. It drives fine then. I have read that it could be the brake switch but my brake lights come on. I have recently put some new altezza lights in and the center lights had a different harness that wouldnt fit on the altezza lights even though they were for a my gen accord. So I cut the harness off and rewired the lights. They work fine and have been on for a month or two before this happened. I did have to switch the piece that holds the bulb and gives it power to a different one. The new one has two metal connectors instead of the stock which had one. Any thoughts

brake switch or some kind of malfunction in the shift lock is my vote. It may be that all that messing around with the brake lights has caused a short or something of that nature.,....try that out.

Default New results

So I checked the brake light switch and that is fine. I noticed that not only do my brake lights not work but the seperate one in my back window don't work which makes me think that I have a bad wire somewhere. I am not sure but could my wiring on the tail lights effect the brake light in the back window if theres a short in them?

read in other post that u CUT UR HARNESS that wasnt too smart...you prolly got the wrong lights for ur car because the stock lights should almost always fit in them unless ur doing some conversian....u prolly have to buy new harnesses cuz u fuxed up ur wiring...or put that back the way they were if u can.

It said 90-93 Accord on the box and most aftermarket parts you buy for that gen all fit. I don't know if this matters but could it be that since I switched the bulb harness which has a two prong config instead of my factory which has one prong that this is differant amp or that this could cause some sort of electric malfunction.

my reverse lights, my signal lights and my running lights all work fine only thing is the rear window brake light and the brake lights (running lights getting brighter when brake depressed) on my tail lights dont seem to work.
