Default Windshield

Anyone ever replace or remove one on a 5th gen? How does it come out? Mine got smashed, so its gotta be replaced. Probably gonna buy new glass from hondaautomotiveparts.com. Pitted and scratched glass annoys me, so I dont want used glass.

Any suggestions, pointers or pictures/instructions would be greatly appretiated!

I had a 5th gen Accord and got mine replaced for 195, including parts, tax, and labor. It came out great, and I've had zero problems with it since. I don't think it would be really worth it to do it yourself, unless you've got some sort of experience that I don't know about. With stuff like that, DIY isn't always a good thing. Any small screwup and you'll have a leak, or something.

I'd have it done. Depending on your insurance, some places will cover your deductible. I got a new one for free via that route.

doesn't the windshield just pop out from the inside-out. On some older cars i'v seen taking a windshield out was as simple as giving it a few good pushes. On the other hand the car was a Russian Lada LOL

you'll have to take a razorblade and cut the sealant around the window from the inside of your car. then pop the window out from behind. it's not a pretty sight. i'd definitely advise you to take it to a professional that would guarantee against water leakage, etc...
