Not sure how much for parts... but both fans seem fairly accessible if you want to save some money and do the work yourself. Plus you will save the mark up on the fans that the mechanic is charging you. Just my .02

Very unusual for the two fans to break down at the same time. If the fan motor is about to give out, it should give you the indication by making some friction noises, not just drop dead all at once. Could it be just the fuse or relay? Each one should not cost you more than $50, the MOST, at any junkyard. If you're lucky, you might get both for that price. Easy access and very easy to replace. Save your money and do it yourself.
