The VIN will tell you...

SE and LX never had leather available.

4 cylinder EX's with the leather option included an automatic climate control and steering wheel audio controls.

Well, I know dealers can get leather LX's and SE's. I don't know how common it is though. I guess if you want leather to start with, you have the $ for EX.

And the climate control and steering controls only came on EX V6's like I stated above.

Your uncle owns a dealer and didnt know a few obvious signs that make it an EX? kind of sad... but typical for most salesmen/managers. Everyone pretty much summed it up that its an EX. How much did you get it for at the auction?

Just look at the brakes...

ABS => 4-wheel disc brakes => EX

I'm so happy, cause I just got a 98 EX (4-cyl, cloth interior) for $8200 and it drives like a brand new car. It had 122K miles, some paint touch-ups and a little bit of fabric wear, but hey, it's still drivin like a luxury car compared to my '94.

FLipnotized, did you do any better than me? Just wonderin...if I got as good of a deal as I think I got... :thinking:

I believe you can get most options on an LX, but if you look at the rear brakes, drums on an LX, discs on an EX without fail.
