knocking?

knocking?

whenever i drive my car for a while and then park there is always a clicking from the engine...this is knocking right? and what exactly is going on with the clicks? how do you stop it? thanks

Tapping and knocking are 2 different sounds. If it sounds like a sewing machine, it's normal. If it sounds like a faint pounding then it's not good at all.

that's metal expanding, since it's hot. normal physical reaction to heat. don't worry about a thing, every car does that.

Mine makes that 'sewing machine' sound when its running, i asked freinds about it they tell me that just they was 4's sound...ehh..

If it ticks loudly while idling, you need to adjust your valve clearance. But some noise is normal. I'd have to hear it firsthand to say whether it's normal.
