Im sure all of you know how the paint on our wiper arms fades, cracks and just disappears... what have you done to remedy this problem?

I know i can paint them... but ive done that a couple times... no matter what I do, rocks and other flying debris just chips the paint off again. It looks so nasty.

From hondaautomotiveparts.com the arms are $51 a piece... no way am i gonna pay that... and I went to the junk yard, and they are all the same... faded.

When I know its not gonna rain for a few days, I just take mine off, thats how horrible they look.


One more thing, on a Japaneese accord, are the wipers reversed? Meaning, they sweep up to the right side of the windshield?

 

i painted mine over a year ago... and they still look brand new.

What kind of paint are u using?

 

I painted mine with some flat black paint. Used a lot of clear on them after. Look good too. Don't forget to wash/wax them like they're part of of the car. They're painted, no reason not to.

Oh i was just curious... that'd be the last thing i'd "upgrade" to JDM...
