Default Is it possible???

I've been a long time subscriber to Car Craft, yet I have absolutely no interest in American made crap, mostly because my Mustang I used to own, had so many goddamn problems that should have never been problems that now I'm sour on American made cars and the service that you get when you have to deal with problems.... BUT I do like the power that you can draw out of their engines, and the the aftermarket products you can buy....

So, is it possible and I know it is, but I want to know whether it's possible in relatively easy terms to drop a much larger domestic engine into my 1995 Honda Accord, and would I have enough room to do the necessary modifications to make it work or would it not even be worth it, and I might as well just buy a new car...

See the idea is that I don't want to have anything but an import, but I want to make the import fast.... so I know it defeats the purpose of having the import and making a 4 cylinder fast just because I can, but just for shits, I live in the Motor City and these guys drive nothing buy power hungry Fords and Chevy's, and no matter what I do to my 4 cylinder vehicles, they will never touch any of their cars without a completely domesticated engine... any ideas... doesn't have to be an engine, just some intelligent bantar would be cool if nothing else...

A friend of mine said a friend of his put a Chevy 350 V8 in an rx-7! Sweet huh?

I wouldnt recommend putting such large engines in a FWD car! It'll be a battle man! But if you do it...props to you!

get a supra rx-7 subaru wrx sti even better 3000gt and those cars u can blow the doors of the ford for relativlly cheap mods bc they supe up so easilly with those turbos. if u want an engine swap get a 240sx buy a nissan skyline engien wtih the rwd tranny and that drops right into the 240sx ir's a real easy swap but then your making 180hp out of the box and don't weight anything but also u got 300 torque and those engine with the stock block have made 1400 hp on the 101 octane racing fuel fastest street legal one i've seen put 700 to the wheels on pump gas then when he used racing octane he bumped the boost so it's straight from steet to race and he made 1100 on the race fuel

well, I don't really want to replace the car.... I know it sounds rediculous.... but I really want to keep the accord, because I have a particular look in mind for it, so I'm trying to accomplish that look while making it sickly fast, besides I think it's more fun to develop a sleeper than doing anything else... because it's embarassing as hell if you get smoked by a 4 door... Even if it is loaded, because no one will truly understand just how modified that 4 door, traditionally 4 cylinder vehicle was, and how it could possibly kill a V8... even if it truly was just a modified V8 itself...

definitly not worth it.... think about the time and money u would be spending trying to fix a domestic engine into an import car. I mean its possible and all but with all the money u put in u can probably get a used NSX, RX7 or Supra.

for the money u spend making your accord a stock bodied 12sec car, u can easily get a 9sec daily f-body with a competition sound system..... its really not worth ur time to mod a family car for raw speed
