Default Intake worth it?

I have an A'Pexi World Sport exhaust, and before, I did not plan on getting an intake. However, today my friend told me that rather having just an intake, having an intake with my exhaust would be worth it. He said I would be able to gain at least 5-10 horsepower. Is that true? I was always against buying an intake because a lot of people say it is useless, even with AEM's. I dunno, what do you guys think?

I was planning on getting headers next, but now this whole intake thing came up, and I'm just wondering now...Should I stick with the headers or get an intake? Which would give me more hp gain without losing low-end power and torque? I already have an exhaust, so which combo would be best?

I say take your resonator off, through in a K&N drop in filter and buy yourself a header.

definitly not 5-10 HP, but a little is better than nothing. At least with just a drop in or short ram that is.

u really need all three to get the best gains...cuz what's the point of having freer air flow out the exhaust...if it gets all restricted coming in...exhaust has basically negligible gains...cai has some decent gains up top...header has some decent gains too...but short ram or resonator and drop in don't really do anything...short ram especially cuz it's just sucking in all this hot air...which doesn't hav emuch oxygen...so get intake header and exhaust

if u also want more power after u get the intake and header then definetly get a high flow cat or gut your cat altogether.

An intake is definately worth it IMO. Mine actually broke(the mounting point snapped), and I sent it back to AEM. In the meantime I have the stock air filter on without the resonator, and I have the paper filter back on. Wow what a difference in power. Man I hope AEM sends me out a new intake, I miss the high end power on the highway.
