What is the ECT switch? Do you mean the " S " shift button?

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.

I know he's not talking about any fan switch, nor the sender for the dashboard gauge. We need to know which location (on the engine) is the one that's wired into the ECM. I know which one it is in MY cars, trouble is I've never owned a '90...

From the haynes manual. Its right below the distributor. Theres a plug going into the waterneck from the radiator then there is a plug directly behind it maybe an inch or 2. This is the plug for the Coolant temp sensor.

I see what you mean, below the distributor and a few inches away from the waterneck, there are two switches. Now I need to know which of those two under the distributor is the ECT. The one toward the front of the car or the one towards the back.

Thank you :goodjob:

I needed to know for these:

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...threadid=90194 engine, code 6
https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...threadid=89856 tranny, code 10

Both of these codes point to the ECT as the fault.
