Default accord straight pipe question

I have a 95 accord dx 4 door and recently my muffler was making a lot of noise so i took it in to the shop to see what it was. My exhaust system was rusty and broken so it needed to be changed completely from the resonator to the muffler. Since i needed whole new piping i wanted to do a straight pipe since it would be cheaper. I was told that this was not a good idea because all accords 94 and up vibrate too much so he told me it would break right away is this true?

:eh:
That doesn't make much sense to me...straight piping wouldn't vibrate any more than stock. I mean, all you're doing is taking the cat off really. There'd be no change in vibration really. If that were really true and 5th and up Accords vibrated too much then every exhaust would fall off...stock or moded

Correct if wrong.

Replace only the piping from your cat convertor back. Do not get rid of your cat convertor. Between your cat convertor and your exhaust manifold (headers) there is a flex pipe which helps with the vibration. Everything after the cat convertor is on hangers. So you shouldn't have a problem.
