Default torque wrench?

uhh..this may seem like a stupid ass post, but try to bear with me. i'm lookin to buy a torque wrench so i can start doin some stuff myself. mainly i'm lookin to get one for my lug nuts. is 3/8" drive fine? or is that too weak? also, what makes a decent torque wrench? is something like this decent, or a POS? http://r5.us.rmi.yahoo.com/rmi/http:...45487&ccsyn=15

any suggestions would be good. thanks!

i got myself a torque wrench w/ 1/2" drive simply because i figure it's easier to get an adapter for 1/2"-to-3/8" than the other way around. as for what makes a decent one, really couldn't say.

I have the craftsman digitorque, it's pretty sweet. I went with 3/8, cause I use that size more on my car. I haven't had a problem yet.

But I can also see the ease of adapter with going with larger 1/2 size...I went with a 1/2 breaker bar.

Either one will work fine. If you use it on smaller stuff more, go with 3/8, if you only use it for wheels go 1/2, an adapter for the half is good, but I found on my prelude that with the adapter and then the socket on the adapter I could not always fit the wrench where I wanted it to go.

craftsmen is the best. cant beat the lifetime warranty. but i couldnt afford it, so i just bought a $20 1/2" drive off ebay. i just use it for lug nuts and suspension. i borrow my friends craftsmen digitorque 3/8" for engine work. it was $60 on sale i think

they're from Black Racing, the Black Racing Pro N1's in bronze. they're not 5Zigen, (unless since January, 5Zigen bought out the design/name or something).

i got them from Vic at Discount Tire Center in El Monte. i didn't really want them but it's a long story. he messed up an order for me. i forget how much i paid, i think somewhere in the neighborhood of $850. that was back in January.
