I drive a 94' Accord EX and recently my car will drive for a couple of seconds then it will make this disgusting noise, the check engine light will come on, and the car will shut off !! This usually happens when I accelerate or when I brake. I tried a at home diagnostic because I doubt if I can make it to my shop without more trouble and I believe that its the Map Sensor. Could someone tell me if I'm correct or what could possibly be wrong with it ?

 

plug in scanner and record, then drive with the same driving conditions when the symptom happens the go back and review data since you have a shop. review specifically map sensor. but ill also look at TPS sensor. its also possilble that egr is stuck in the open position
