I f'd up on front sway bar install.
I had the exact same problem with my 99 coupe when I put my front springs and shocks in.
I got the endlink off, but stripped it putting it back in, so it was only in halfway. I drove on it for about 2 days and it sounded and rode like shit. Finally, I had to buy a replacement part from Honda for about $13.
Then I took the wheel off again, broke the covering cap of the endlink, held it with pliers and untightened the nut on the other side.
The new one installed easy as shit. Ya see, when they aren't all jacked up with 3 years of grit and dirt, they don't really need to be held at all, the new nut slid right on to the threads and never had a problem.
Post some pics and I'll try to describe better.

Well Honda fixed the sway bar mess for 147.00 including new parts. I'm very happy. The larger front sway dramatically improved on center feel and really added some weight back into the wheel it had been missing from the larger tire swap.
I highly recommend adding the larger 6cyl bar to any 6th gen 4cyl--I love the feel it now provides. Corners like a go cart if you can believe that.
