What colors are the battery power wire from the wire harnest from a 99 accord. to go to a pioneer hu. I see the ground and all the speakers, but i have a hard time gettign the damn thing on i cant find where the yellow wire(memory) and the red (+) or vice versa which ever combination but i tihk i got it right.. can someone help?

 

just get a universal honda wire harness from circuit city ... never chop up your stock one.

 

like what the other dude said....get a wiring harness for you Honda...be it from Circuit City, Best Buy or any other shop that would have car stereo stuff.

That way you don't have to mess with the factory wires...and if for whatever reason you decide to put you factory deck back....it can be done easily. :thumbup:

 

too late i already cut the factory harness terminal

 

red is power

yellow is constant, or memory

if you have them mixed up, it will still power up, but your preset radio stations won't stick.

 

i know , but my question is which are the ones from the cars harness thats goes to the red and yellow one. in install doctor they give you this colors which arent even in the harness of my car. i see a thick white and red wire. and another white and green wire. what are those for? i need to know the memory colorwire and the battery wire from the car harness. not from the radio which is always red and yellow. sheesh i put it to the wires from the clock but its causing extreme engine noice. its not even funny.

 

well if you get the harness then it will show a diagram of which wire/color is what. So then just trace the given powersupply to your factory color. You should at all cost avoid cutting anywires from you car. but if its a absolute must then cut them.
