my 96 accord is all stock changing little by little, every month something new, i wanna change my speakers but i dont know the size or what to look for, anyone recommend any brand name and if u know the size what is it? and can i add a amp and sub to my stock radio also has stock cd player, if i cant add a amp i will just replace the speaker so it can sound a little better ty. accord exl 96

 

i like high end pioneer, they have really impressed me, more so then alpine. I believe you have 6.5" speakers, dont quote me on that....but I just purchased Pioneer TS-a1680R 220watt max 4 way speaker, very very impressive. youll need a new cd player, i have a pioneer DEH-p6300 headunit, another impressive cd player. youll need one with pre-out so you can hook up amps to you cd player, your getting into a real money pit now, id do a lot of research online, crutchfield.com along with review an audio websites

U wont need a new HU you can get a (damn can not rememebr the name) but what it does is you wire it with your rear speakers and then it will give you preouts...NOT the best way to do it but it does work....

Best thing to do is go talk to a local shop....Of course take everything they say with a grain of salt, they will push their products and tell you its the best, and then next month they have something new that is the best

Also get a budget and stick to it. You can get a nice setup for under 500 bucks including HU and interior speakers...That is NO amps and NO subs....But it will sound nice...
