For my 94 I have the stock tails with cleared turn signal on my car now... but I want something different... I also have full clear lenses, but those are not what I want... My Type-S tails just look wrong on my car cause they're all chrome, and they dont fit well with my dark car.

I really want to put 96-97 outer tails on my car... but everyone says they are different... well, in what way? is the overall size/shape of the light different, or is it just the bolt hole locations?? what makes it so they dont fit? I know if I just swapped them directly, i'd lose the back-up lights... but i'd come up with a solution for that eventually...

Looking at my cousins car quickly, they seem to be the same size and everything... but its also been a while since ive seen her car, so I dont really remember.

Can anyone with a 96-97 take a tail light out and take some pics please?? like of where the light mounts to the car and of the back-side of the light itself??? Maybe even include some dimensions... like of the mounting bolt distances... it'd be a HUGE help for me!

It's not that they mount up differently which I dont know if they do. It's just the shape of the outer-lense on the 96-97 is different and curves out a little more towards the rear-quarter panel.

You might be better off just takeing off your lense on your stock lamps and putting on the 96-97 lense customly.

 

If you do that, you will need to also make reverse lights, since the 96-97 have no reverse light on the outside, and the top is wider than the 94-95 I believe.
