Thats just my two cents on racing.
A TSX on a dragstrip???

That's pretty funny stuff... I absolutely blew the doors off some young punk in a TSX (probably his daddy's) a little while back. Guess he believed all that b.s. about the TSX being a "sport sedan" and figured he could take my 03 Accord Coupe EX-V6 from the stoplight we were idling at. Boy, was he ever WRONG! I had a car length on him before he could even blink and just kept pulling from there... Heh.

Yah, a TSX on the drag strip/track. I can run high 16s to high 17s in my stock TSX, which isn't bad for me, but its no where near as fast as my old modified '93 Nissan 240SX SE fastback, which ran mid 15s.

I am assuming this punk kid you raced was driving a TSX equipped with the 5 speed slowmatic and not the 6 speed manual. Either that or he just ain't that good at racing.

6 speed manual is the way to go. My TSX has the 6 speed. :naughty:

Your Accord coupe EX-V6 a 6 speed?

please don't brag on a 17 sec 1/4 mi. or 6 spd

1. a manual tranny is best used for road courses where you need power delivery out of curves and instant torque.

Remember when you drop your clutch wheel spin goes no where

2. a auto tranny is best for draggin because of their consisant power delivery. OH in a 1/4 mi a auto is faster than a manual stock vs stock.

3. how many NHRA drag cars are 5 or 6spd NONE
how many NHRA drag cars are autos(linko trannys) ALL
last I checked NHRA had the fastest drag times 2!

If you want to drag I have a 2001 v-6 accord with a 2800rpm stall and built clutches in my tranny that will kill your TSX with out my spray, we can hookup my bottle in your car and you will still lose.

Leave my fello v6 members alone want-tobe-honda with almost V-TEC

Although the TSX is nice, even the 6 speed times are considerably lower than the Accord times. I believe the 6-speed is somewhere around 7.0 flat on 0-60 while the Accord V6 Auto is 6.6 and 6-speed is 6.0 - 6.2.

Either way though, very nice car.

You must not know how to drive.

I can appreciate an automatic transmission in an NHRA top-fuel dragster that does a 1/4 in under 5 seconds, not even superman could go through the gears fast enough.

HOWEVER!!! Drag racing an automatic street car is not only void of talent or skill, it is just plain boring. Any Monkey can press down on the gas. What's the big deal?

Edit: Sorry about jacking your thread. Nice looking Accord. Just remember, keep that racing garbage off the streets. BTW, isn't BubbRubb, the name of that guy from that Oakland television news broadcast about the whistle tip mufflers? Woo Woo!

OK if you think that you beat a WRX...it wasn't a WRX...you would get your ass handed to you if it was a WRX. My friend's got one and he beats the hell out of me in my 03...
