Default do all ex accords have intermediate pipe for axels?

hi. i have a 5th gen 1994 honda accord ex coupe and i do not have an intemediate pipe. it was to my understanding that all ex accords in this gen came with an intemediate pipe for the driver's side axel assembly. i looked under my car today and noticed that i do not have one. is there something wrong with this? are there any benefits to having an intermediate pipe rather than just having the longer axel?

?? do u have pictures showing the difference? i can look under my car this week when i change my oil if you show me how to tell the difference.

Well, i know i have a relatively short driver side axle which connects to a center piece, and a short passenger side axle.

it's called an intermediate shaft and it's for your driverside axle. all accords have an intermediate shaft. they do this so both axles are the same lenght otherwise the torque steer would be terrible.

not all accord have the intermediate shaft and i am almost sure all lx accords dont have it. i am looking at the replacement axel i have under my car right now and the one i took out. the driver side axels is about 2 times longer than the passenger one. does anyone know what benefits there are to having one as opposed to not?

I have a 94 LX and I recently did a clutch install and I know for a fact that I have one. Sleeper is correct in what he says... all have them

yes you do. i have the same car.

you probably are looking at the driveshaft & half shaft as one...but they are actually two pieces.
