Default What would you do???

Ok, I've thought about selling my car, 94 ex 5spd coupe bordeaux red 105k, and using the money to pay for a year of school...well half since my parents and i are splitting it 50/50. I've done the KBB and edmunds suggested prices and they quote it for about 6000, give or take. This past saturday, one of my friends at work had one of his friends roll through and he saw my car and asked how much i was asking for it. I said i would like to get atleast 6000 for it, but that would be in stock form, maybe a few small things left on like the cd player and all that good stuff. He said he would give me 6000, but that would be how it sits (apex-i full coilovers, eibach camber kit, aem cai, greddy header, greddy evo catback, b&m short shift adapter, full stereo [speakers and head unit atleast], real stanley clear corners, etc......). I'm sure i could possibly get him to give me about 7000 or 7500, but I don't know, I'd rather part it out and sell the car stock, and sell all of the parts. He then told me he would give me 5000 along with his civic hatch (teal, 94/95? forget, SI, perfect condition except for front left where he got hit by some kid in a kia, skunk2 coilovers, tanabe full exhaust...) but the hatch has been totalled b/c the airbags blew from the accident. he is buying the hatch back from the insurance company for 900, so the total value that he would give me would be about 6000. I don't know what i should do. I could fix the hatch, part out the hatch, or just not accept the offer at all, or accept the 6000, or something..........I don't know. What do you guys think I should do. (in the attached pic is how my car sits as of now, without those wheels which i sold, it has the stock ex wheels)

I'd rather part out your car and sell it stock. you could probably get alot out of your Coilovers, Exhaust, Rims, CAI, camber kit etc.
Thats probably about 1.5-2g worth of stuff there buddy, and sell the car for a good 6 and you'll get more out of it. With the possible 7-8gs you can buy a nice Teg/Civic Hatch or whatever you want man.

If you take the broken hatch and throw more money at it to get it in good condition, you'll be losing money that you coulda gained from something else

but dood its really up to what you want to do man. just voicing my opinion

I would probably part it back to stock and sell the parts on the side and make more. Or I would just wait for a high offer.

I wouldn't trade for the divic hatch, down the road there will probably be many things that will have to be replaced because it was cracked/damaged when it got totalled, not all damage from an accident is apparent immediately. I think you should return the car completely to stock, sell it for 6,000, and then part the stuff out on forums like this, you can prolly get back 2,000 dollars if you're patient and wait for the right buyers for stuff. . .

thanks for the opinions guys, feel free to voice some more.
:RAWBEEF: yes those are 17's and it is lowered

to everyone else. i'm leaning towards parting it all out and selling it stock so i can get the most out of it. i hate to let this car go though. to anyone interested in parts or whatnot, post here or PM me.
