Default broken headlight switch

i snapped my headlight/turn signal switch in half yesterday. my shorts got caught on it as i was sitting down in the car. anyways how hard is it to replace this myself? has anyone ever done this before? (car is 1997 accord ex)

im suprised I haven't done this yet. I have a wallet w/a long string on it so you can carry it around your neck and it gets caught on my headlight switch all the time.

the switch i think unscrews, take off the steering wheel plastic upper and lower covers and take a look... I know accord store sells this part... but i think its one piece for both the headlights and the wipers... should be simple though.

Aight just removed this from my prelude, shouldn't be different

Remove the Air-bag...refer to the HELMS manual....you DO NOT need to remover the wheel.....just stick a screwdriver in the screws and then once the screws are out.....just tap it out upward......i guess some "stick" to the colum sinces its been theres since assembly.

ahhahaha!! That's pretty funny. I still don't see how you can catch your shorts on the switch unless your pants are ULTRA baggy.
