Default Rear suspension question

I was lookin at my rear wheels tryin to see how a 1.5 inch drop would look, when i noticed something a little wierd. That little arm thingy that hangs right over the rear tires seems to already be quite low....if i lowered my car 1.5 inches wouldn't hit the tire everytime i go over a bump? I would post a pic but i don't have time right now seeing as im on my lunch break...

if your car is at stock height now.... you will be fine with a 1.5 in drop.... that bar will not be in the way. As long as your tires are correct offset etc.....

I though it was the wheels that have offset? Anyway the offset is +40mm for the wheels and the tires are 215x45x17.....you think that will be ok without rubbing or hitting that arm?

that bar moves WITH the suspension, as with the one in the front too.
