Dude dont try it yourself if you havent done it before. I tried to touch up a knick on my front bumper using touchup paint I ordered, same color as my bumper but didnt turn out well. So I went to a bodyshop with the paint I had and they touched it up for $80. And lemme say that you cant tell at all anything happened, they did a perfect job.
they only way to apply touch up paint is to dab it into the chip. never stroke the paint on there. let it dry, and just dab more in there till it's level with the existing paint. you'll be able to tell that there's a chip there, but it's better than having the exposed metal rust up.

make sure the paint code on your door matches the paint code on the TUP bottle. also, make sure you shake very very very well.
the suggestion of filling the chip rather than painting over it is very true. use a toothpick instead of the brush if it's a small chip.
Well obviously you guys don't know how to put touch up paint on so I guess I'll explain. Not saying I can do it...but this is what I read somewhere else. You apply touch up paint to the scratch place on your car. Then reapply until the touch up paint is above paint level of the factory paint job. Once that is completely dried, you have to wetsand it down until it's level with the other paint around it. Then tape off other areas except that touch up paint and spray some clear coat and then wetsand again. Then polish and buff it back to shine. You don't just put touch up paint and just leave. A lot more work than you think.
Man that sucks. I got hit in my max before. shit scuffed up my whole right side bumper, cost me about the same 300 repaint....just throw the car away not worth the paint job, or give it to me i'll take it off your hands......lol
